What the Better End mod does
Better End is the paulevs Fabric mod that turns Minecraft's End dimension from a barren empty void with a lonely dragon into a fully-realised final tier of exploration. It adds End Sylvan Forest, Sulphur Springs, Blossoming Spires, Crystal Shores, Amber Fields, End Grasslands and about twenty other biomes, each with its own generation ruleset, block palette, structure set and End-native mobs.
Every new biome is designed to feel End-y, weightless, dreamlike, subtly hostile. The mod also adds a proper post-dragon progression, End-native ores, End-tier weapons, End-brewing recipes, so beating the Ender Dragon no longer marks the end of your world's content.
Better End is the End-dimension counterpart to Better Nether, both by paulevs, both Fabric-only, both bundled in the Better Minecraft modpack.
Features
Twenty-plus new End biomes
End Sylvan Forest, Sulphur Springs, Blossoming Spires, Crystal Shores, Amber Fields, End Grasslands, Chorus Forest and more. Every biome has unique block palette and generation.
End-native mob variants
Sylvan Endermen, Amber Bulbs, End Fish, Blossom Slimes. Each spawns only in its home biome with unique loot drops.
Post-dragon progression
End Stone Ores unlock End-tier tools and weapons. New End-native brewing recipes stack with vanilla potions.
New structures
Amber Fossil Structures, Blossom Spire Temples, End Portal Ruins. Each biome has its own structure set with themed loot.
Full building palette
End wood, crystal blocks, sulphur crystal, amber block, terminite alloy. Enough decorative blocks for a full End base.

Install Fabric for Minecraft 1.19.2 or 1.20.1.

Download Better End from Modrinth. Install the required BCLib dependency alongside.

Drop both jars into your Minecraft mods folder. Install Fabric API on Fabric builds.

Launch and generate a new world. Existing End does not regenerate, only new End chunks show Better End biomes.

Compatibility
Pairs with Better Nether (same author). Do not use with Endergetic Expansion, they conflict on End biome generation. Bundled in Better Minecraft.
Better End FAQ
Do existing End chunks regenerate?
No, only newly-generated End chunks show Better End biomes. To see the mod, fly far from the main End island until you generate new chunks.
Is Better End on Forge?
Not officially, the paulevs port is Fabric-only. Forge users can approximate with Endergetic Expansion + Ender's Ridge but the biome roster is smaller.
Does it change the dragon fight?
No. The main End island and the Ender Dragon are vanilla. Better End content starts once you fly out to the outer islands.
Best base biome in Better End?
Blossoming Spires has the calmest mob spawns and best block palette. Amber Fields is closest to the main End island for fast travel back.
